Sangameshwara Temple Entrance
There are quite a few places which are interesting. The most important place is Sri Sangameshwara Temple, Lord Basaveshwara's Holy Samadhi (Aikya Mantapa). Lord Basaveshwara was a social reformer of 12th century. More details of Lord Basaveshwara can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basaveshwara
Steps for the pathway to Aikya Mantapa
Because of the back water from the Dam, the Lord Basaveshwara's Aikya Mantapa was getting covered by water, but later the Govt, constructed a solid cylindrical protective shield & constructed a path way to reach there. We need to get down to have a look at Lord Basaveshwara's Aikya Linga.

Other interesting places in this area are the Sabha Bhavan which has a seating capacity of more than 6000 people. Its a very beautiful place. The point of 2 rivers merging also has a scenic beauty.
