Agra Fort, an UNESCO world heritage site in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India is a beautiful monument which is just around 2.5km to another sister monument & one of the wonders of the world as well as an UNESCO world heritage site The Taj Mahal. The Fort is built of red sand stone & the entire area is around 94 acre.

Uttar Pradesh (UP) is the state located in the northern part of India bordering the states of Madhya Pradesh to the south, Bihar to the east, Jharkhand to the south east, Rajasthan to the west, Haryana & Delhi to the north west, Uttarakhand & the country of Nepal to the north. UP is the 5th biggest state in India by area & the first biggest in terms of population & it also ranks third in economy as of 2011 statistics. The 2 major rivers of India, the Ganga & the Yamuna, also considered to be the holy rivers flow thru the state of UP. Its also home to the ancient & medieval empires of India right from Magadha (~600 BC) to the Mughal empires (16th-18th centuries)
